Adult squirrel monkeys are about 10 to 14 inches. Male squirrel monkeys are usually larger than females . They live in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Paraguay, and Venezuela and a small population in southern Florida. They prefer rainforest, and can adapt to any kind of rainforest. they have been known to eat insects, spiders, bird eggs, flowers, buds, seeds, leaves, tree gum, sap, and nuts. They give birth to single offspring. They can live to be 20 years old.
